The design of the Generac SpeedWash 6882 Gas Powered Pressure Washer System with Attachments says it means business and it delivers. This power washer features a generous 2,900 PSI and 2.4 gallon per minute execution which comes in at a higher performance than a large portion of its competitors of similar price. The rugged construction of this work horse is sure to give you the confidence you need to get any job done around your home. Safety features include a low oil shutdown for better engine protection and an integrated unloader valve for easy engine starts.
The smooth handling of the ergonomic spray gun comes with a soft grip so it is more comfortable to use on any job, especially work that requires an extended period of time to complete. The ease of the trigger pull is kinder to your hands during use and will reduce fatigue when working with this pressure washer. A welcome feature is the easy-access axial cam pump. With this set up there is no more stooping or kneeling to make hose connections, which is common in the construction of most of its counterparts, making it easier on the knees and back.
With gas motors on products like these, environmental issues can be a concern and such is the case with the Generac SpeedWash 6882 Gas Powered Pressure Washer System. It is Non-CARB compliant so it is not for sale in California as it does not meet the state’s high standards for air-quality. When working with any gas powered small engine, this is something to look out for. The hose on this unit is a bit stiff but still workable. The pull cable on this system has been reported to be a little hard or awkward to pull but it does not appear to effect its performance.
While there were a generous amount of high review ratings, siting that this was great product for the price, there were a fair amount of poor ratings. Of the consumers that gave the Generac SpeedWash 6882 Gas Powered Pressure Washer System a poor rating, the most common complaint was not actually the unit itself but the customer service department of the manufacturer. The manufacturer’s common response to issues of non-start or defect seem to be to take the unit to a local dealer for repair, not returning or replacing their product. Many of the occurrences where contacting customer service for issues with the product were because the unit shipped to the customer broken making us think that perhaps their shipping/box designs could be better. Of the customers that were happy, they gave a great review of the product.
We give this product a word of caution for dealing with the manufacturer.
