For practicality purposes, it is important to purchase a power cleaner with low to medium PSI and GPM. This may not give you the right water pressure you need but attachments are available to enhance the performance of the power cleaner. However, for industrial use, it is best to stick with a heavy-duty pressure cleaner in order to meet the work demands.

How PSI and GMP work in a power washer

PSI and GPM may look very complicated when you put it in equation. However, the basic function of PSI is to loosen and drive away dirt from the surface while GPM keeps the dirt suspended on the water in order for it to be easily rinsed off. Holding the power washer at the right angle and distance from the surface to be cleaned will definitely enhance its efficacy.
